Constant and efficient supply of components to the main supply line
The supply of materials was performed manually.
At a vehicle manufacturing plant an automatic transport system for several components to the main assembly line was installed. Given their omni-directional properties, the vehicles need a minimum space for performing manoeuvres. The supply of these elements is synchronised with the main production time, avoiding downtimes and maximising productivity. The automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) are designed for the transportation of components to the main vehicle assembly line. They have a magnetic guidance system that is complemented by markers that facilitate the setting of routes. Their unique wheels provide them with full manoeuvrability and 360º movement so they may move freely in any direction.
