The rector of Universidad Isabel I, Alberto Gómez Barahona, and the CEO of ASTI TechGroup, Verónica Pascual Boé, have signed a framework collaboration agreement establishing the lines of cooperation between both institutions with respect to training, consulting, research and knowledge transfer.
During the ceremony, the rector of Isabel I stressed that “there is always a lot of talk about university-business relations”, and this agreement aims to make this collaboration “real and effective”. Alberto Gómez Barahona stressed that it is necessary for “the university to integrate the knowledge, know-how and experience that the company has”, so that this path that will be taken together by the University of Isabel I and ASTI TechGroup will be a “peer to peer” relationship between “Two young companies eager to work”
For her part, the CEO of ASTI TechGroup has noted that “the key to the success of digital transformation and Industry 4.0 are talent and technology, so, at ASTI, we have focused on the strategic vision for development of digital talent or talent 4.0. If you want digital transformation, prepare your talent 4.0 strategy. In this regard, “from ASTI Foundation, many of the activities created for this challenge have been channeled and many of them have been carried out in collaboration with Universidad Isabel I”, noted Verónica Pascual.
ASTI and Universidad Isabel I will present joint R+D+i projects, in different regional, state and international programs; they will jointly advise third parties and organize training activities, seminars, master’s degrees, as well as facilitate the administration of internships of the students of the academic institution in the technology company, the carrying out of research tasks of ASTI employees at the University R+D+i building, etc.
The agreement signed between the two organizations of Burgos will have an extendable period of three academic years and a Monitoring Committee that will evaluate the results of the cooperation developed, analyze and approve the proposals for the execution of programs and activities.
ASTI TechGroupand the academic institution have been cooperating for months together with the ASTI Talent & Tech Foundation. Some of ASTI’s internal leadership and promotion of young talent activities take place at the university’s facilities, such as the STEAM Talent Kids program to stimulate talent from an early age.
