The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, presented the award to the CEO of ASTI TechGroup, Verónica Pascual Boé

The businesswoman emphasised that the award implies knowledge of business management, innovation and globalisation strategy and company talent.

Mobile robotics engineering was nominated in three categories: SME of the Year, International Development and Job Creation

ASTI Mobile Robotics carried off the 2018 Pyme (SME) Award, in the Fifth edition of the CEPYME Awards, organised by the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, together with the Spanish Federation of Self-Employed, with the aim of recognising the influence of the Spanish economy on the efforts of the most-outstanding Spanish SMEs and self-employed workers and their contribution to economic and social progress and job creation. The jury’s decision was communicated during the ceremony that was attended by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, who presented the award to the CEO of Asti TechGroup and Managing Director of ASTI Mobile Robotics, Verónica Pascual.

The businesswoman emphasized, in her thank you speech, that it is “a great honour to receive this award from the CEPYME”, that implies recognition for business management, innovation and globalisation strategy, as well as company talent. Mobile robotics engineering was nominated in 2018 in three categories: SME of the Year – also finalist in 2017-, Job Creation -an award already received in 2017- and International Development.

ASTI has experienced significant sustainable growth in the last ten years, multiplying sales by 13 and staff by 8. Currently, “we export more than 70 percent of our production to 17 countries around the world, with strategic framework agreements globally for the automation of internal logistics processes for numerous multinationals (multi-site, multi-country) for industrial sectors including automotive, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics and aeronautics”, asserted Verónica Pascual.

The CEO thanked ASTI customers for their “trust” as well as the suppliers and partners who “have helped us to grow along the way”. Of course, she also thanked and recognised the “work, dedication and professionalism” of the entire group that is a part of ASTI Mobile Robotics and the ASTI Group. “Talent with capital letters” emphasized Pascual. This award as the SME of the Year “encourages us to continue developing our standards of excellence, to be increasingly competitive, to manage our projects with precision and to design and manufacture products and services that are increasingly more attractive for the market”, always maintaining the focus on the five strategical axes of the company, represented in 5 journeys: customer, technology, operating excellence, ecosystem and talent. And, in addition, she also had words of gratitude for the founders of ASTI, Ángel Pascual y Colette Boé. “My teachers, my mentors, my source of inspiration”, she pointed out.

Looking towards the future, “this recognition drives us to continue growing, fighting to meet our objectives set out in our 2018-2022 Strategic Plan, but, above all, to continue building our history”.   All this from a group of companies looking to consolidate growth, taking the company to triple-digit sales, working on the investment in R+D+i; the optimisation of operations, consolidation of the international market in geographical regions of major interest to ASTI, such as the heart of the European Union and the United States; developing talent though a plan to support its attraction and retention; steering both organic and inorganic growth; and equipping itself with a sustainable economic and financial plan.

Verónica Pascual congratulated the rest of the award winners in the various categories as well as CertesBiotec and Productos Citrosol, candidates in the Pyme (SME) category of the Year, “very high level companies”, she highlighted.
